Two down, seven to go.
When I am designing an episode (Which takes several hours a week) there is a point that I look at everything and wonder if it’s too over-produced. There are no retakes and there is no post production. We do it live!
My OCD makes it very important for me to start on time every week. 8pm – boom we are live. I love the live and visual aspects of the show, and I don’t even mind the little technical issues that come up every once in a while. Because I want our viewers to SEE that we’re human. I actually get really nervous for the first few minutes when we broadcast, and it takes few to get settled. I’m just so worried that something is going to break.
Things happen. Tonight Kira had some issues with bandwidth and her audio on Skype. Couldn’t be helped – but she did great. There have been huge storms coming through all day, and I was hoping my power wouldn’t go out. If I go down, the whole show does too.
Decent amount of live viewers tonight, and so far our episodes are tracking a little higher than they were last year. It’s hard to build an audience from scratch, so any family, friends, etc. are most welcome.
I don’t know if anyone reads these, but I hope you are enjoying the show.
