MegaCon 2017 Wrap up + Horror Cosplay

HauntScene attended MegaCon 2017 in Orlando Florida.  Not familiar with MegaCon?  It’s a convention that covers Comics, Movies, Tv, Anime, Pop Culture, Cosplay (That is when people dress up as their favorite characters!) and so much more.  It typically runs around the end of May and goes from Thursday-Sunday.  There is an absolute ton of Actors/Actresses signing autographs (The big-ticket this year was Stan Lee and Tim Curry), comic artists, vendors, and more!  This event has something for everyone!  It’s one of THE biggest and best conventions in the country!We were on the scene looking for the BEST horror and villain cosplay at the event.  Here are some of the highlights in the HORROR category:

We were especially happy to see Halloween Horror Nights represented at the event with a few people dressing up as popular icons Jack and Chance.

What was especially awesome about this was the “Real” Jack and Chance were also in attendance!  This pair got to meet Jack (James Keaton) and Chance (Erin Nicole Cline) at the event.  How cool is that?

Unfortunately, due to a prior commitment we were unable to attend MegaCon on the last day (Sunday) but we were happy to see that some local haunts were represented this weekend at the event!  Ominous Descent showed off some of their characters to some unsuspecting attendees!  Ominous Descent will be a brand new Haunt opening in Bartow, Florida (South Lakeland Area) in October of 2017!

 

We had a great time at the event and cannot wait to attend in 2018!  If you’ve never been it’s a great time!
