Add a Little Haunt to Your Holidays

When the fall season starts, most people are already complaining about finding Christmas merchandise in stores way too early.  Here we are at the end of August, in  90ish degree weather, and sweating from head to toe at a theme park.

But there’s good news!  There may be way to put some Halloween in your Christmas holiday season, as opposed to the other way around.  Just because there’s not snow on the ground here doesn’t mean you can’t  decorate your house like there is.

While the Haunt Scene team was in Universal Studios over the weekend scouting out HHN props, we ended up taking some respite in the quaint little ornament shop (which always smells amazing!) in the New York area .  There we met Team Member Stephanie, who was in the process of creating one of this year’s Jack-themed HHN 25 ornaments.

Stephanie informed us that she struggled with Universal managers to accept the idea of a Halloween Horror Nights ornament for nearly three months, going through several designs that revolved around a carnival aesthetic. After finally being approved, her creepy Christmas decorations finally went on sale last month.

The ornaments are $29.99 plus tax, and can be personalized for another $3.  The central Jack design can be put on any color the store offers (Red, White, Gold, Blue, etc.) and can be adorned with various types of gothic writing and HHN logos. We didn’t ask about any sort of annual passholder discount, but I personally am hoping they can be applied to this merch.

Although the first round of ornaments have already been completed, they will be available for order once again on September 16th (the night of employee preview). Unfortunately, Stephanie won’t be around to take orders on the 16th or 17th, but if you’re a fan of the design make sure to stop in the Christmas shop afterwards to thank her!!
