Pre-HHN 25 Photo Update 9.3.2015 – Stages, Screens, and Shows!
Today I made a quick trip up to Universal Studios to get another photo update and to see how the HHN decor has been expanding. It was ridiculously hot outside, but the park attendance wasn’t too bad (Thankfully. With the Labor Day holiday weekend starting its sure to be packed soon!). First thing I noticed is that the Icon banners have been restored but have been covered up, with the exception of the Caretaker.
And then… the glorious, glorious stage. Wow! I didn’t notice it when I took the picture, but the “X” you see crisscrossing the stage is formed by steel cables.
The picture doesn’t really capture how amazing it all looks; there are so many tiny props and old HHN stuff present (Dungeon of Terror sign) that it really takes being there in person to fully appreciate it. I cannot wait to see what Jack and his maniacs have in store for us.
Not much has changed in the Traditional Halloween scarezone over the past few days, but I couldn’t help but snap a few additional pictures. This scarezone could be an addiction.
The biggest changes that I found from my last in-park trip were in the All-Nite Die-In scarezone. There have been a bunch of new things added right outside of the Disaster queue entrance. You can see various cars, a ticket/projection booth, and a derelict screen. There is an actual projector up top and I think it’s going to look really cool when it’s playing…
Remember that this zone will change between full color and black-and-white throughout the evening, so walk through multiple times if you get the chance! Expect to see some familiar faces- possibly even Freddy and Jason for selfie opportunities!
On my way out, I also noted that the Shadybrook Sanitarium transport is actually labeled now, and they have added an actual Shadybrook cop car outside of Finnegan’s. How cool, right!?
With the parks being crazy this weekend we wouldn’t expect much more to be updated over the next few days, but keep checking back until opening night to stay up-to-date with this year’s amazingly detailed sets!

Until next time – Happy Haunting!

UPDATE: Since yesterday, the HHN billboards have also been starting to pop up!! They feature Jack and this year’s carny-style 25 logo, and they’re actually pretty cool. So keep an eye out on the roads!
